The Mobihan Gulf
A must when visiting the the Morbihan...
Visit the Morbihan Gulf, a small inner sea enclosed by the Rhuys peninsula which covers approximately 100 km². It joins the ocean via a narrow passage with strong currents.
The Gulf boasts 300 islands, only thirty of which are inhabited.
The most well known are Ile aux Moines, Ile d'Arz and Gavrinis.
You won't cease to be amazed at the everchanging scenery when you take a boat trip around the Gulf.
Almost 150 000 species of water birds have found refuge here (stilts - little egrets - red breasted mergensers - seagulls, etc).
How to get there :
- Several boat companies offer tours of the Gulf with or without a stopover at certain islands.
- By hiring a boat with or without a permit...
